The MARILAG Top

Crafted from 100% cotton, the MARILAG top explores the relationship between drape, structure, and ornamentation. The halter silhouette wraps fluidly around the body as it tapers into a sculptural pointed hem.

Intricate hand-applied beadwork traces the surface in geometric motifs, introducing texture, dimension, and quiet luminosity. Developed in collaboration with Bagobo Tagabawa artisans — the detailing honors a tradition of craftsmanship while embracing a distinctly modern sensibility.

Designed and finished in Oakland, California, the MARILAG top embodies a dialogue between heritage and innovation, where artisanal technique and contemporary design converge.

Each MARILAG can accomodate bust measurements of 27 inches to 36 inches.

100% cotton

A piece shaped by hand deserves the same consideration in care. Hand wash separately in cold water with a gentle detergent, allowing the fabric to move softly without rubbing, scrubbing, or prolonged soaking. Do not bleach, twist, or wring. Reshape while damp and lay flat in the shade to dry. Steam lightly from the reverse if needed, keeping direct heat away from the embroidery and beadwork. Store folded or laid flat to preserve the silhouette and protect each embellishment from snagging.
